Bios

Phyllis Roteman
President of The Loyalty Group
Phyllis has more than 24 years of consulting, sales and management experience, and has worked with Fortune 1000 companies across a variety of industries. She founded The Loyalty Group near her 30th birthday, opting out of corporate life to build her consulting and training business from the ground up. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Phyllis’ professional expertise includes organizational change, performance management, competencies, selection, and training and development. She is a certified job analyst and has practical business experience in sales, service, leadership and business management.

Before forming The Loyalty Group, Phyllis was a consultant at Development Dimensions International (DDI) where she managed and designed customized solutions for clients whose needs could not be met with “off the shelf” products. She earned an MBA and has taken graduate courses in organizational behavior and corporate communications. She also taught organizational design and development in the University of Miami’s Business School as an adjunct professor.

An adventurer, Phyllis has climbed to the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and bungee jumped from the Victoria Falls Bridge in Harare, Zimbabwe (and lived to tell about it).

Ann Gramc
Instructional Designer and Developer
Ann has been creating customized training programs for client organizations since 1990. Her expertise is in the areas of leadership development, sales training, customer service, selection and assessment, performance management, and orientation.

Ann’s background in journalism and a Master’s Degree in Writing give her a unique ability to ask questions, uncover customer needs, interpret information and write logically for a variety of audiences. Also Ann has won several awards from the Society of Technical Communication (STC) for training-related publications.

Ann recently applied her creativity at home when she designed and built five-foot-high cartoon characters for her daughter’s birthday.

Mary Altuvilla
Consultant, Master Trainer, and Coach
Mary specializes in consultative sales training, management training, coaching and selection. She has held a variety of senior-level positions in sales and customer service functions after working her way up the infamous ladder. Mary began her career 25 years ago as a sales associate at Xerox, bringing a wealth of practical knowledge to the training room. In addition, she was a certified trainer for Zenger Miller and Achieve Global.

When Mary needs an escape, this city slicker and her family take off for a dude ranch.

Pam Owens
Consultant, Facilitator, and Developer
Pam Owens specializes in leadership development, selection training and customized instructional design. She brings twenty years of organizational development, consulting, and marketing experience to her role. An award-winning consultant, she has extensive domestic and international experience in managing large-scale human resource projects.

Pam has designed competency-based online learning and performance tools for companies, developed and delivered an “Attracting and Retaining Talent” session for senior human resources professionals and designed an innovative refresher program to help experienced pharmaceutical sales managers select world-class sales representatives. In addition, Pam was Director of Operation Enterprise for American Management Association (AMA), where she doubled annual contribution levels of top program donors and achieved the highest workshop quality ratings of all AMA leadership programs.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Business Education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Velma Purser
Consultant and Project Manager
Velma Purser is an accomplished executive with proven ability to develop and implement learning and organizational development strategies that support business objectives. She maintains an exceptional success record in leading key corporate initiatives within Fortune 500 companies.

Velma has had an impressive career at the Boeing Company, where she held such positions as Director of the Boeing Leadership Center, Senior Manager of Product Support Training and Development, and Manager of Human Resources Quality Training.

She holds many professional certificates including: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Qualification, DiSC Coach, The Birkman Method and others. Velma earned a B.S. in Health Care Management and an M.A. in Organizational Design.

Mike Hoffman
Speaker and Facilitator
Mike specializes in the areas of sales, customer service, loyalty and retention, communication skills, performance management and leadership. For the past 10 years he has conducted keynote addresses and training seminars nationally and internationally in almost every sales topic imaginable. Mike has practical business experience as a successful salesperson, human resource generalist and national training manager.

He holds many training certifications, including a Master Trainer certification from Development Dimensions International (DDI) and facilitator certification from Bergerac. In a “previous life,” Mike was a stand-up comic and disc jockey. He mixes humor with a solid foundation of adult learning principles to make learning fun and sustainable.

Julie Mokotoff
Consultant, Instructional Designer, and Project Manager
Julie has over 13 years of consulting and project management experience with global and domestic Fortune 500 organizations. Before joining The Loyalty Group, Julie was a consultant for Watson Wyatt where her experience included: designing surveys, conducting focus groups, performing training needs analysis and designing workshops. She has developed learning tools and workshops in areas such as employee satisfaction, corporate culture, customer service, compensation, benefits, quality improvement and managing performance.

Julie’s academic achievements include an M.A. in Organizational Psychology and Ed.M in Counseling Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish.

She has also written a children’s book for 3rd and 4th graders about naming traditions around the world.

Steve Weitzenkorn
Ph.D, Sales Consultant, and Project Manager
Steve Weitzenkorn is an organizational psychologist with over twenty-five years of experience in management consulting, training design and development. Previously, he was Vice President – Consulting Services Group with Development Dimensions International (DDI).

Steve has years of sales consulting, leadership development, and training experience with such organizations as Bank One, Charles Schwab, NCR – (major accounts selling), Materials Research Corporation, Motorola, Oracle, Westinghouse, Eli Lilly, Buick Motor Division of GM, General Dynamics, and W.W. Grainger. He has developed numerous strategic and tactical sales and negotiation skills programs. Steve received the William C. Byham Award for Innovation and Excellence in Training Technology in 1993. In 2005, one of his programs won the Henkel Award for Global HR Excellence.

One of Steve’s passions is helping non-profit communal organizations by serving on boards and developing their leadership and strategic planning capabilities.

William F. Molloy
Sr. Management Consultant
William (Bill) F. Molloy has nearly 30 years of consulting experience beginning as National Marketing Manager for behavior-modeling-based programs at DDI. He later joined The Forum Corporation, a premier Boston-based consulting firm, as Senior Vice President and Western Division Manager. Bill has consulted with such organizations as Visa, Hartford Insurance, Unilever, Deloitte, Disney, Charles Schwab, Nike, Kaiser Permanente, and Coca-Cola.

Bill works extensively with senior management groups in a variety of industries. He specializes in areas of strategic planning, leadership, customer focus and sales management. He has published articles in Training Magazine, Southern California Business Journal, San Diego Business Journal, and Administrative Radiology.

Bill earned his B.A. degree from Stonehill College in Massachusetts and his Master’s Degree in Personnel and Counseling from the University of Maryland at College Park.

Bill’s focus on youth stems from his early years as a high school coach in Washington DC.  As the former founding President of the Arizona Congressional Award Council, appointed by Senator Jon Kyle, Bill continues to encourage young people to set long range goals and be recognized for their accomplishments through programs such as the Congressional Award.

Shari Barth
Consultant, Facilitator and Instructional Designer
Shari calls herself a “jack of all trades” and has more than 15 years experience in training, consulting, coaching and project management. While employed with JCPenney as a training manager and performance improvement consultant, Shari received the Million Dollar Award for helping workshop participants use process improvement tools to generate over $1 million in corporate-wide savings. Previously, Shari was a Senior Change Management Consultant for Andersen Consulting, where she helped develop the firm’s Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award training materials, and helped clients prepare for and successfully adapt to change. She earned a BA in Organizational Communications from The University of Michigan and holds many facilitation certifications from companies such as: Development Dimensions International (DDI) and InfoWorks International. Shari enjoys snorkeling, walking on the beach, and spending time with her husband and 2 little girls.
